[Review] Black Leather Heart Collar from Bondara

I am working on a blog post about collars and collaring, and I reached out on Twitter to see if any companies would like to help me explore my own personal experience with collars a little bit. Bondara very kindly responded to my request for help, and sent me two collars, the idea being that they would help me explore collars in a different way to the only one we currently use.

One of the collars I was sent was the Lair Black Leather Studded Heart Collar. I’ll be honest the reason this collar was one that appealed to me was because it was cute and I had visions of Bakji getting his submission on in a super cute heart collar. However, as soon as it arrived my feelings on the matter changed.

[Review] I Have Fallen in Love!

It’s true. I have fallen in love. Truly, madly, deeply in love with my new Doxy.

1526923841678.jpegI wouldn’t normally discuss a product for a Masturbation Monday post. I tend to go for a piece of erotica in the hope that some of you will put your hands in your pants while reading it. Sometimes though we are left with no choice but to mix things up.

[Review] Nexus Revo Prostate Massager

When I received the email from Lovehoney to say we were receiving the Nexus Revo Slim Remote Controlled Rotating Silicone Prostate Massager in exchange for an honest review, I was delighted. I couldn’t wait to tell Bakji and he too was excited, as we both hoped this product would advance our adventures in prostate play.

IMG_6704Currently our best experience has been with the Lovehoney Desire Luxury USB Rechargeable Remote Control Prostate Massager, but the Nexus Revo promised so much more, and at the double the price I really hoped it would deliver.

In terms of aesthetics, both packaging and product are appealing. A storage pouch is also included, though having previously had two Nexus controllers break, I am inclined to keep this product in the box, just to be on the safe side.

My first thoughts on the Revo were that is feels lovely, the silicone is soft and smooth, and it feel like a good quality product. The vibrations felt nice and strong in my hand, and the rotating shaft felt like it might be a bit of a game changer in terms of prostate stimulation.

As with our previous Nexus product the controls are also easy to use, and charging is simple and effective. Charging time in somewhere under an hour, and play time is around 90 minutes. The added bonus for some people is that it is also waterproof, which not only makes it easy to clean, it can also be used for sexy bath time or shower adventures, which could potentially work out really well for those people who are worried about anal play ‘accidents’ but still really want to explore.

When the time came to use the Revo in a sexy way, we were all set. Bakji was restrained, in what i must admit was a really fun position, involving our suspension point, our gym bench and lots of rope.  I had lots of lube, my sexy medical gloves were on and we were ready to go. In terms of size, and ease of insertion this toy was great, it’s not overly daunting, and would likely be a nice first prostate massager based on that criteria. So in it went and with baited breath I turned the Revo on ….

…. Oh! Bakji’s reactions are not as intense as I’d anticipated. I immediately noticed that the vibrations and rotating shaft didn’t have the instant effect that some of our other vibrating butt plugs and prostate massagers tend to have. I tried a variety of approaches, leaving just the vibrations on, focus more on the rotating shaft, but all in all I just had a feeling it wasn’t blowing his mind, and it certainly didn’t make him blow his load. That was me, credit for that scenes ejaculation is all mine.

While we did use the Revo throughout our scene, my thoughts had turned from lots of excitement to slightly anticlimactic. Our scene was awesome and super sexy, but I couldn’t help but feel the Revo hadn’t enhanced it as much as I’d hoped. When discussing the product with Bakji afterwards he seconded my thoughts.

While the rotating shaft wasn’t at all unpleasant, he mostly knew it was one because he could hear it, as opposed to being able to feel it. It certainly wasn’t giving him the prostate massage we were promised.

The vibrations that stimulate the perineum are good, but don’t seem to stimulate as well as other products, and not really any better than holding one of my own vibrators against that area. Which I do often, so have a fair few memories of it working really well. The best part of the perineum vibrations was when I sat against it and used it for clitoral stimulation, which because the vibrations seem to be focused more on the out part of the product actually work really well.

We also had a bit of an issue with it staying in place, and it seemed determined to slide out, which isn’t great as the idea of something like this for us is for my hands to busy elsewhere while the prostate massager does its thing. While this does happen with a variety of anal toys, we have had great success with other, lower cost products staying put.

Unfortunately when you weigh up cost versus effectiveness this product absolutely falls short. The words ‘intense p-spot massage’ are used in the product description on Lovehoney and there really wasn’t anything intense about it at all. It was definitely pleasant, and it is far from being an awful product, it’s good, but for what it costs I really do want it to be great.

If you’re new to prostate and/or anal play, don’t want anything too powerful and haveIMG_6703.jpg £149.99 burning a hole in your pocket then by all means give this a go. To be honest though it wouldn’t be our top recommendation.

This product and others will be featuring in a future episode of #ProudToBeKinky, where myself and Bakji will be discussing some of the products we have recently used and the experiences we have had with them. If there are any products you would like to hear us discuss then please do let me know, you can also contact us if you have a product you would like to send us in exchange for an honest review.

[Kink] Torture Garden Special

One of the events that gets mentioned most within the kink community is Torture Garden. When we started going to lots of London events I lost track of how many people asked us if we’d been, and were then surprised when we said no. There were two reasons I took my time in going, 1. I felt like I’d enjoy it more in a group and 2. I was really uncertain about the strict dress code.

This Halloween though we decided to take the plunge and off we went to our very first TG. Prior to going myself I’d heard various things about it, some good and some bad. All of which made me wonder exactly what I’d be walking into. The reality was that I loved it. In fact we love it so much we are going back in December. While I appreciate it won’t be for everybody, no event suits everyone’s taste, and TG is no different, for some of you it will be amazing.

First of all, I was 100% right about going with a group. Myself and Bakji have attended many events just the two of us, and that’s actually how we made some of the friends we went with to TG. At certain event you can mingle and socialise a little, at TG I do not see that happening unless you already know a few people. It is busy, it is loud and people are in hedonism mode, having fun and revelling in a good time, I don’t think sitting down for a chat with a potential new friend is on anyone’s agenda. I think if you went solo, you would feel really lost and probably never go to an event. If you are a couple that can entertain each other well, you will probably enjoy yourselves, ideally though I’d say gather a little group together and really go for it.

So we found our group (and what a lovely bunch of humans they are too), bought our tickets, had a place to stay for the night (God bless friends who have a spare room), all that was left was to find an outfit! AN OUTFIT! For Torture Garden! How could I ever compete with the wonderful flamboyant creations you have to have to set foot inside this most awesome of events? Well I got in, so apparently I cracked it. My advice for anyone looking to go to TG who is worried about an outfit would be as follows:

  • Make an effort – if you are able to go all out and can invest both the time and money in a gorgeous creation, then go for it. Those outfits are a delight to view. If you can’t though you can still make a great outfit with key Fetish inspired pieces, working to the theme might help too.
  • Make-up is your friend –  Even if you’re a fella. Maybe especially if you’re a fella. Dramatic, all out make-up costs less than, dramatic all out Latex, but the effect can be incredible.
  • Be hair raising (or raise your hair) – Dramatic hair is another thing that makes a huge impact on your look. I crimped my hair, and it went big and wild and it really suited the theme of the night.
  • Latex – it frustrates some people that Latex is an automatic in to places like this (unless it’s stripy trousers, stripes are evil it seems), but if you’re new and uncertain Latex is a winner. Maybe combining it with awesome make-up, hair and accessories is a good way to make the extra effort.
  • Plan ahead – give yourself time to order from online stores, do our research into a good outfit, and give it some trial runs so you know you’re happy with it.
  • Pinterest – such a good place to get ideas for any outfit theme
  • Use the TG email – Decide on what you’re wearing and you can actually email TG and ask them if it will be suitable, they have people ready and willing to give you advice so that you don’t get turned away.

For anyone wondering what I actually wore, I was too excited to remember to take a photo, so I will have to explain it. Bottom half was fishnet tights, with high waist Latex knickers over the top of them. Then on my top half I wore a long sleeved fishnet top, and my new Xenia bra from Twisted Lingerie. It wasn’t crazy elaborate but it felt sexy and I really enjoyed wearing it.

As I mentioned previously TG is loud and it’s busy, which leads me to a couple of other tips. Decide on a meeting place and know you can land their should you get estranged from your group, then if you’ve lost someone check in on the meeting place and make sure no one has been stood their for two hours waiting to be rescued. Once you’ve been a few times I’m sure it gets easier to navigate, but as a TG newbie it feels like a total maze, though I think we only have a few more event at this particular venue, so this might not be a valid point for alternate venues.

One unfortunate thing that happens when somewhere is very busy, is that it gets very hot, and when I say very, I mean VERY. Think gates of hell type heat, it was frickin’ warm people. If you are like me and are a bit susceptible to overheating, please take regular fresh air breaks and drink plenty of fluids, and not just the alcoholic kind, the water kind too. I forgot about both these things and did have a little attack of melting, thankfully we’d had an awesome time up until this point because it did mean we had to head home to bed, and it wasn’t a sexy heading to bed. It was the ‘Floss falling onto the bed dying and Bakji taking her shoes off’ kind of going to bed.

As I say though, up until that point we’d had an awesome time. I’ve often heard people say that while this is a kink event, and there are dungeon areas available, that sometimes the best way to have fun is just to focus on the kink less and enjoy the party. I think on the whole I would agree with this. That’s pretty much the approach we took and we have a great time. The beauty of an event like this though is that your behaviour can be overall more kinky wherever you are and it is in keeping with the vibe of the night. For example, forcing your partner to lick your nipples while sat on a bench in a normal club would be frowned upon, however at TG I don’t think anyone even noticed us doing this!

That’s not to say there isn’t room for kink, there was definitely plenty of that happening, and my bottom may have got involved in an awesome spanking, once again having kinky friends is awesome! I also discovered that simultaneously bottoming and Topping is actually a lot of fun! Thank you to the kind and sexy people who helped me discover this. On top of that we also danced a lot, I may have got a bit merry thanks to my old friend Southern Comfort and we generally just enjoyed the sexy fun and made the most of our first experience of TG. I could tell we had fun because when we woke up the next day there was glitter everywhere, neither of us wore glitter out, so coming home covered in it always indicates a lot of fun was had.

That pretty much covers our experience, as I say we loved TG and we will definitely be going back, December tickets have already been bought. If you’re still not sure if it’s for you, but you are curious please feel free to get in touch, you can use my contact form on this site or you can email me via hello@proudtobekinky.com

Review: Satisfyer Pro Penguin

I won’t lie, I’ve had my eye on the Satisfyer products ever since they came on the market. When they kindly offered to send me some products to review I was definitely excited to give these products a try.

My orgasm track record for masturbating isn’t great. I find it rather boring if I’m honest and I own all the sex toys I do in the hope that one days I will find the toy that makes it fun. With a partner I’m multi-orgasmic, on my own it’s one and I’m done. It’s usually clitoral, and it’s usually quick, because if get to the edge and lose it I can’t get it back. So I need a powerful, buzzing vibrator on/near my clitoris to make me climax as soon as possible.

I must admit when I held the Penguin Pro 2 in my hand, my first thought was that is was super cute. I mean seriously cute, it has a bow tie. It’s really lightweight, fits nicely in your hand and looks generally very appealing.

So off I popped to put it on charge. Eagerly awaiting my chance to test it out. Now despite knowing it’s not a vibrator, once it was charged I still did that thing of testing it against my hand. I must admit my heart sank a little bit, it felt like … nothing. There was a big sigh. Nevertheless I actually volunteered to test it on my clitoris, so that is what I went to do .

Spoiler alert … OH. MY GOD!!!  My orgasms will never, and I mean NEVER, be the same again.

IMG_4225.JPGThe Pro Penguin gave me my strongest solo orgasm ever (until I tried the Satisfyer Pro 2, but more about that in another post.)

It is far more ‘rumbly’ that I would usually opt for. However the pulsating rumbles create a build up that I haven’t been able to achieve with other vibrators. I got midway through the 11 settings and found myself in a state of climax. I also noticed that I was anywhere near as sensitive and ‘done’ as I would normally be after a solo orgasm. So I did what any good sex toy reviewer would do and kept on going, for the sake of science obviously.

Up and up I went through the settings, the pleasure just kept on building and I reached a point I never reach alone. I wasn’t actually focusing on anything except how good things felt, I’d actually managed to start enjoying it, without feeling a bit bored. This is a huge achievement in my sexual exploration.

Another thing that happened that rarely happens with toys, is that it made me wet. I’ve got zero issues using lube when I masturbate, and do so more often that not. The fact this product actually got some natural lubrication on the go though is astounding, it actually seems to make my vagina happy and satisfied, instead of just placated until I can play with another human.

Volume of sex toys isn’t a huge issue for me, although I admit extremely loud buzzing isn’t that arousing. Anyone who has a need for quiet toys though should have no issues with this product. It can’t be heard through adjoining rooms, and I could only hear it if I pressed my ear to the door of the room it was in, and that was knowing it was in there and I should be hearing it. This was in a completely silent house. In a building where there were other ambient noises like television or music I very much doubt if anyone would be able to hear it.

IMG_4484.JPGThe lovely soft outer and the nozzle of this product are made from silicon, and the other components from ABS plastic. So there’s nothing icky there for those of us who are looking for body safe toys. The nozzle is removable, should you wish to do so for cleaning.

Speaking of cleaning, this product is also waterproof, perfect for people who enjoy their baths times to be a little bit on the sexy side. I personally don’t have a bath, but if I dd this beauty could tempt me to actually try to make one sexy, which isn’t normally my thing.

With it’s USB, magnetic charger, you get about 1.5 hours play for around the same length of time on charge. However, you may need to charge it fairly regularly due to the fact you might never want to stop playing with it, because it’s just so good. The controls couldn’t be simpler, press and hold to turn on, once the control panel is alight you can see the symbols for higher vibration near the base of the toy, and lower vibration toward the nozzle of the toy.

If full discretion with sex toy is your thing, then that might be a downside, while it isn’t as glaringly obviously as phallic shaped vibrator or dildo, it isn’t as discreet as some of the products available that could be ‘massagers’. For example the Satisfyer Pro Deluxe would probably get away with that.

Other than that I honestly cannot pick fault with this product. Unless you really don’t like clitoral stimulation. Even then though, it isn’t like any clitoral toy I’ve ever used before, so I’d be inclined to suggest giving it a try before writing it off, if that feels like an option.

IMG_4483.JPGReasons To Try:

  • Unique sucking/pulsating action
  • Looks super cute
  • Feel lovely to hold and use
  • Gives the BEST orgasms

Reason to say Bye-Bye:

  • Personally none
  • Potentially not visually discreet enough for some people
